The Marvel Legends Marvel Comics 80th Anniversary Marvel Legends X-Men (Love Triangle) 3 Pack action figure set, released in 2019, features three iconic characters from the X-Men series: Wolverine, Jean Grey, and Cyclops. Each figure is designed with multiple points of articulation, allowing for a wide range of poses and action scenes.
Wolverine, also known as Logan, is depicted in his classic yellow and blue costume. The figure comes with three different head sculpts, including one with a cowl and one without, and one with a battle-damaged face. Wolverine's accessories include his signature adamantium claws, which can be attached or removed from his hands.
Jean Grey, also known as Phoenix, is featured in her blue and gold Phoenix costume. The figure includes one additional head sculpt.
Cyclops, also known as Scott Summers, is depicted in his blue and yellow X-Men uniform with brown jacket. The figure includes two head sculpts, one with his visor and one without.
The Marvel Legends X-Men (Love Triangle) 3 Pack action figure set is a tribute to the complex relationship between Wolverine, Jean Grey, and Cyclops, which has been a central storyline in the X-Men comics for decades. The figures are designed to reflect the characters' appearances in the 1990s, a period that is often considered a golden age for the X-Men comics.
Hasbro: Marvel Legends X-Men Love Triangle Three-Pack Review by thefwoosh.com
The Jean Grey figure, inspired from the modern Marvel Legends, is truly a visual delight. The full X-Men #1/Jim Lee/90s team in ML is an achievement. The Cyclops figure is a different version from the previous one offering a dark blue and bright yellow palette, bringing a fresh look to this iconic member. Its bomber jacket and new accessories make it a complete win.
The Wolverine, although another addition to the Marvel Legends, provides a unique look that can easily become a favorite among fans. Its bright yellow color is striking and its new features, like the bone claw hands and “battle damaged” head, make it even more appealing. Last but not least is Jean Grey, a figure many have long been waiting for. Its two included portraits might even be the best female faces done in the line so far.
This set is one of the best releases this year, featuring a 90s Jean Grey worth displaying and new versions of Cyclops and Wolverine that are equally impressive. This set is highly recommended for collectors.
Marvel Legends X-Men Love Triangle 3-Pack Jean Grey Wolverine Cyclops Action Figure Review by www.youtube.com
The Jean Grey figure comes with a majority of a new sculpt, two new head sculpts and pieces of the old one reused, like the belt and gauntlet. The colour of the figure may not be as yellow as some fans expected but trust me, the colour depicts the real one in the comics and animated series. Pay close attention to the design of her costume, it's important. Also, ever noticed the metallic sheen on her forehead when she uses her telepathic abilities? There might be some smearing on the lipstick but that's something I can look past.
Now, Cyclops is primarily based on the same mode, bucky cap, that we've seen a thousand times before, albeit with a different colour scheme that I personally prefer - a solid blue and bright yellow. The jacket, however, is borrowed from their Old man Logan line. Unlike the previously released figure, this one comes with two well-sculpted closed fisted hands and three alternate heads, although it could have done with an optic blast feature.
Lastly, we have Wolverine. While the classic Wolverine look has been kept quite similar, they have introduced a newly sculpted bone claw, which honestly looks marvellous. This Wolverine comes with two new heads and a well-crafted pullover cow, definitely adding character to the figure. Overall, all three figures have vibrant colours with complementing accessories, Jean Grey being the absolute highlight. I rate the pack 10 out of 10. It's a must-have for collectors, especially since it enables completion of the classic 90's X-men teams.
