Several versions of Storm's figure have been released in recent years, with costumes spanning various colors. The latest is yet again a white-clad Storm, the most recognized attire for her, hailing from the '97 X-Men animated series. Unlike its predecessors, this version boasts flawless and unmarred aesthetics owing to the utilization of pin-free articulation. The character's look is further enhanced by minor adjustments to her shoulder pads and the introduction of pupils in Storm's eyes - a novelty in the series. However, her hairstyle - described as a “mullet hawk” - may not sit well with all fans, while the cape's attachment via chunky fabric loops doesn't improve on the previous issues. Standing the figure is fairly simple, with joints offering fluid movement and good balance. But, disappointingly, the figure includes only two interchangeable hands, mimicking the uninspiring accessories accompanying the rest of the line-up. Despite the substantial progress in the pin-less figure and other updates, the relatively bare accessories, unconventional head, and clunky cape attachments may limit this release's appeal. The figure is decent, yet it remains inferior to other characters in the X-Men ‘97 Marvel Legends. Expectation of a standout white costume Storm lingers.
