Snaggletooth is the informal name for the character Zutton, also known as Zutmore in some sources, who is a Snivvian seen in the Mos Eisley Cantina in "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope." In the Star Wars universe, the Snivvians are known for their short stature, distinctive snouts, and fur-lined faces.
There are two versions of the Snaggletooth figure:
The Blue Snaggletooth version is taller, has a blue outfit, silver boots, and does not match the character's appearance in the movie. The Blue Snaggletooth is the rarer of the two because it was produced as part of a Sears exclusive "Cantina Adventure Set" in the United States, which was sold during the holiday season of 1978. It was originally created because Kenner's designers did not have complete reference materials from the film; they only had a black and white photo of the character's head and assumed he was human-sized. When they realized the error, the figure was corrected to better match the film's character.
The version depicted above is the Red Snaggletooth version, which is shorter and has a more accurately colored red jumpsuit, which reflects the character's actual costume in the movie. This version was widely released and is much more common. It was included in the standard Kenner action figure line and sold in blister packs on cardbacks.
The Blue Snaggletooth is rarer of two and can only be found loose as it was never released on a hardback (it was part of the Sears Cantina Adventure Set).
