2014 SDCC Star Wars The Black Series 6" Jabba The Hutt With Throne Review by www.youtube.com review sentiment positive

JC reports on the new Star Wars six-inch Jabba the Hutt with throne room, remarking on its superior packaging. This special San Diego Comic-Con version includes a salacious crumb figure and a cardboard diorama scene, expanding on the unique features more than the general release. Its larger box is designed to mimic the look of Jabba's throne palace. While JC praises the additional details and display quality of the packaging, he criticizes its design for making it almost impossible to remove the plastic without hurting the cardboard component. He also compliments the version's extra throne accessories and the detailed paint job on the figures. Despite wishing for a plastic throne, JC understands that it would have substantially increased the price of the set. Therefore, his only complaint is that removing the plastic packaging can damage the bottom of the throne. Despite this drawback, JC asserts this set is well-worth purchasing.

Hasbro – Star Wars Black Series SDCC 2014 Exclusive Jabba the Hutt by thefwoosh.com review sentiment positive

Although he was initially only available exclusively at conventions, you can now find Jabba on the regular Black Series line. This exclusive version also includes his “fat slug” leaning rail, hookah, and personal yes-man Salacious Crumb, which justifies the slightly elevated cost.

While Hasbro's interpretation of Jabba is quite impressive, there are a few minor quibbles I have with the overall design of the figure like the visible waist twist. Additionally, the rubbery material used for the movable mouth raises concerns about its longevity, so extreme caution is recommended when displaying this figure.

The rail, hookah, and Salacious Crumb undeniably enhance the exclusivity of this set. I only wish Salacious Crumb was included in the standard release as well. This package also promised a slot for Carbonite block Han Solo but was quite disappointing in execution.

In a nutshell, expanding my Black Series collection with Jabba the Hutt was an absolute delight. Apart from a few nitpicks, I am overall very satisfied with the purchase.
